Thanks a million Regina. The song actually inspired me to write this. Well, also because my next book is titled “Battlefield of Love” and the song “Love is a Battlefield” was on my mind when I initially had the idea for my next book. LOL

Very true Regina. Today’s life it seems revolves around one night stands and a quick f*uck int he back of the club or something. There are so few true romantics left in this world and even their spirits are being broken down when they look at what’s happening around them.

It makes those romantics, myself included, look around and think “Why even bother when this is all there is?” and that isn’t true at all. There is someone for you out there! Keep your head up and don’t let the nasty real world get to you. Until Mr or Mrs right comes along…indulge in fantasy

Great post. Reminds me of the old Pat Benatar song “Love is a Battlefield” and yes, you’re right…it’s nice to imagine we can bring happiness, love and happy ever after’s to our readers. Lord knows there isn’t enough of that stuff in the real world.

You intimating no way!! I just throw shoes at ya!! See I’m the total opposite people will just walk all over me until I reach the boiling point. Than watch out it’s like a blizzard hit! Now mess with my kids and all hell will break loose. I don’t care if you’re standing over six feet tall.
I’ve waken to a gun pointed to my head do you really think some mouth is going to make me afraid!! HA!
See my daughters friends don’t have to worry about her dad it’s dear old mom that will go off! Evil grin!

Thank you so much, Kathy! And exactly! I really believe all it takes is doing an act of kindness, openly showing acceptance, for it to spread to others. It’s like how all civil rights movements start out small, so often with one or just a handful of people speaking up to say, “Hey, it’s not right to treat another person like this,” but that small group steadily grows in numbers and strength, one person at a time until change happens.

Shannon!!! Wow, love your blog and I totally share the hope that people will pause a moment to actually think before making a snap decision on someone’s worth because of who they are, what they look like or what they do.
Yeah, it’s somewhat idealistic, but it’s kind of like when I let a driver into my lane; it’s not as though I’m going to lose a whole lot of time and I can’t count the number of times that I’ve seen that same driver return the favour.
Pay it forward or just opening people’s minds… don’t know, but I know that it can happen.
